MEI has offered instruction in Middle Eastern languages since 1953. Today, the Institute offers a wide range of skills-oriented, affordable and challenging language training for Washington-area professionals in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Turkish. Clients include government agencies, foreign embassies, international consulting organizations, corporations and students enrolled in local graduate and undergraduate programs.

Classes and Private Instruction are available in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish, Urdu and multiple dialects. Tutoring is tailored to the specific needs and goals of each student given their level and duration of study.

Our instructors teach in their native language and have extensive professional experience abroad and at local universities and community colleges.

On-site instruction is available Monday through Friday 8:00am to 10:00pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am to 6:00pm at the rate of $55/hr. Off-site instruction is also available and starts at the rate of $65/hr. Weekday evening classes are $430. Classes are two hours and meet twice a week for 15 sessions. Weekend Intensive Classes are $995.00 and are four hours each session for 15 sessions.
